TALK BY A LEGAL ABORTION DEBATE, Free secure LA PLATA

Lesbian and Feminists for Decriminalization of Abortion in the Senate

Parliament was conducted for the Right to safe and legal Abortion


On Friday June 4, was carried on the "Parliament by the Abortion law in legal and safe, "driven by the Women's Collective Juana Azurduy, Diversity & Gender Project South, Suburbs, tangled for the Right to Decide, Lesbians and feminists for the decriminalization of Abortion, Congress Ate internal Board UTE.

Parliament was made in the context of the agenda that deputies and deputies along with women's organizations are pursuing in order to install the debate on the legalization of abortion in Congress.

Over a hundred women gathered at noon in the Plaza del Congreso to spread information on abortion through flyers, posters and broadcast radio. Later, the activities developed in the Senate Chamber Illia's Office. They opened the main panel Luis José Gallo Imperiale, Uruguay's Frente Amplio senator, Maria Lucia da Silveira of the World March of Women and Luciana Peker, a journalist specializing in gender.

After the presentations there was a theatrical sketch (first embodiment of the company workers of the Congress) and a plenary session where all participants shared experiences on the actions taken at each location. Also identified some lines to work together, as the spread of "Abortion Line: less risk information." The intervention concluded with the presentation of the Report "How to abort women in Argentina: between autonomy and lack of power," Third Report of the line, in charge of Lesbians and Feminists for Decriminalization of Abortion.

To
end of the day all the guests enjoyed the painting done "live and live" by the artist Mariana Gabor, a video projection by Ximena González where you see the pro-abortion positions of several deputies, and theatrical intervention last Multiplicarte Azurduy Juana Women's Collective.
